Meatballs are a classic dish made from ground meat, mixed with various ingredients and spices, then shaped into balls and cooked. They can be served in various sauces or on their own as a delicious appetizer.
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Marinara sauce (for serving)
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a bit of oil. Cook the meatballs until browned on all sides, about 10-12 minutes.
Add marinara sauce to the skillet and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
Serve the meatballs hot with sauce over pasta or on their own as an appetizer.
