Ingredients:
2 cups cooked Japanese rice
1/2 teaspoon salt
Filling of your choice (e.g., pickled plum, tuna, salmon)
Nori (seaweed) sheets
Sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix the cooked rice with salt while it's still warm.
Wet your hands to prevent sticking and take a handful of rice.
Make a small indentation in the center and place your filling inside.
Shape the rice around the filling to form a triangle or ball.
Wrap the onigiri with a strip of nori and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
